Alright people, we get it, 2026 is gonna be another ‘crazy’ year. But I will dedicate this time to see some of the planetary motions for this year. Keep in mind I am keeping mercury retrogrades out of this – if you have been following me, you should have already graduated from that bullsh–!

The energies of 2026 are already setting a very specific tone. We began the year with Chiron going direct in Aries on January 2nd, pushing us to reassess authenticity in how we perceive the body, our actions, and our sense of self. This is the kind of energy that exposes where we compare ourselves to others, stay on the sidelines, or talk big about who we want to be but do nothing about it. That hesitation is Chiron. Not because you can’t do it, but because you’re unsure if you could. Chiron isn’t the blockage. We are. The power comes when you cut through the noise, admit where you’re a little gun-shy, but start anyway. Just remember it is OK to stay true to yourself, in all of your glory even if it stings a little. Growth usually does.

In early February, Uranus goes direct, in Taurus. Over the past year, Uranus retrograde rewound scientific, technological, and societal narratives. From renewable energy breakthroughs to Alzheimer’s prevention research, we’ve watched ideas be questioned, reworked, and politicized. With Pluto tied into Uranus, power struggles, conspiracy narratives, and control issues around innovation have been front and center. We saw this as we witnessed the tumultuous backlash with the great U.S Science funding cut. However, this isn’t going away anytime soon. The bigger question we’re being asked is simple but uncomfortable: are these advances actually evolving our society, or is this part of a grand scheme to control us?

Jupiter goes direct in March, currently retrograde in Cancer, and this shifts the focus inward. Roots, ancestry, emotional identity, and belonging come to the surface. For many, this brings a deep return to self. With Black Moon Lilith ruling Jupiter, there’s also tension between honoring where you come from and freeing yourself from expectations tied to it. In a sense, our innate desires can manifest as a rejection of our cultural heritage. Emotional overwhelm may come in waves, as a way to lash out, especially as the Moon constantly shifts the internal landscape every 2.5 days. This year asks you to redefine what “home” and “alignment” really means and which philosophy truly aligns with your core self.

Later in 2026, Pluto will retrograde while Uranus remains direct. This flips the script from what we saw back in 2025, when Pluto was direct and Uranus was retrograde for a short period of time. Instead of revisiting innovation and future-thinking, we revisit trauma, toxicity, abuse, and power dynamics. Pluto retrograde demands awareness. Are you relinquishing old wounds, or reopening them? Are you transforming rage into resilience, or letting it run unchecked? Are we empowering ourselves with our past or are we letting it re-traumatize us? This is deep psychological work, and how you handle it matters.

This is just a surface-level look at the major planetary shifts of 2026. Stay tuned for part two, where we dive into the latter half of the year. And if you want to understand how these energies hit your chart specifically, book a private session with me and let’s break it down.
